Grace (grās)

Definition: unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification, a virtue coming from God, a state of sanctification enjoyed through divine assistance, disposition to or an act or instance of kindness, courtesy, or clemency

Origin: from the Latin grātia meaning ‘favor, kindness, esteem’

Example: By the grace of God through Jesus we are loved and forgiven, irrelevant of merit or status.
